THURSDAY January 13

Objective: Students will be able to identify and label different types of propaganda and make inferences about different characters based on direct and indirect characterization.

Journal: Vocabulary Practice: treachery, retinue, conciliatory, demeanor

Agenda: 1) Review Propaganda: Students will be given a worksheet with various examples of propaganda from Animal Farm and will be asked to label each example and explain why it represents that type of propaganda.

2) Students will read Chapter 5 of Animal Farm.  As they read, they will look for FOUR examples of propaganda.  Each example will be written down on their worksheet and labeled with the correct type of propaganda it represents.

Homework: Question Worksheet for Chapter 5 of Animal Farm.  ***VOCAB TEST will be moved to TUESDAY***
